Class Need to Know Info

We kindly ask you to take note of our Requirements and Policies:

  1. Special dietary needs or restrictions? Let us know at least 5 days in advance so we can work our culinary magic and accommodate your needs. Sadly, we can't perform miracles on the day of the class.

  2. The art of capturing memories! Yes, we'll be capturing some epic moments during the class. By signing up, you're giving us permission to snap photos or record videos of you in class. Don't worry; your talent might just end up on our social media, advertising, or other promotional materials. Fame awaits!

  3. Class cancellations: We understand that life happens, but please let us know in advance if you can't make it. You're welcome to transfer your registration to a lucky friend of your choice, but do give us a heads-up.

  4. The Brick Kitchen reserves the right to cancel classes. Fear not, we'll notify you promptly and offer a full refund or credit because we're committed to making your experience exceptional.

On the big day of the class:

  • Check-in at the front counter upon arrival. We like to keep things organized; you know.

  • Cleanliness is next to culinary godliness. We'll be diligently sanitizing, washing, and disinfecting all tools, workstations, seating areas, and equipment. Safety is our top priority.

For our "Hands-on" Class participants, here are a few additional tidbits of information:

  • Bring your own apron if you wish to flaunt your culinary fashion sense. We do have a few available for borrowing if you forget yours.

  • Clean hands are happy hands. Wash those paws for a solid 20 seconds before touching any food. We'll provide food safety gloves for you to wear while handling ingredients. Safety first!

  • Hair matters, especially in the kitchen. If your luscious locks reach shoulder length or beyond, kindly secure them in a way that requires no touch-ups during class. Safety and hygiene, folks!

Instructor Bio: Kelley Cole (Lenzini), Owner of Gia's Italian Kitchen From Kelley: Some of my greatest childhood memories were made in the kitchen alongside my grandmother, aunts, mom and cousins. The incredible aromas of fresh basil, garlic and tomatoes filled the air as generations gathered together to share Italian traditions and authentic family recipes. It was the most delicious rite of passage. My husband, Peter, and I both grew up in Chicago and now live in Iowa. We have two children and both work full-time. Like other busy families, we juggle a lot. However, we always make time for family dinners. Mealtime with our children is vital for keeping family ties strong and our Italian heritage alive. I have worked in finance all my life, but sharing my love of Italian cooking with others has always been a passion of mine. I am thrilled to welcome you all to class!
